‘The Punjabi weekly/fortnightly newspaper Canada Darpan was published from 1982 to 1989 in Vancouver/Surrey by its editor, Darshan Gill (1943-2011). During this period, almost 250 issues of the Canada Darpan were published, which are an invaluable resource about the Punjabi/Indo-Canadian community’s social history. An archive containing most of the issues of the Canada Darpan is now ready and will be launched at a free public event conducted in Punjabi for the community.’
